People often recognize the HISD for its Tech Center, preschool, and special education services. Although these are very important programs and services offered by the HISD, there is a myriad of other opportunities and services you should know about.

Harbor Beach is the largest city on the Thumb’s sunrise side and the second-largest city in Huron County. This small lakeside town is often recognized for its large harbor, lighthouse, and industry. There are many unique elements that make Harbor Beach the unique hub it is.

At the root of Huron County, near our southern border, exists the Village of Ubly. The Village of Ubly has evolved tremendously since its inception in 1896, though its past still influences the community’s rural charm.

Nestled in the northwest corner of the Thumb along the Pinnebog River, you will find a small village that offers a safe, cozy, small-town environment for all who live and visit.
